On Saturday, January 23, 2027, one of heavy metal’s most influential bands, Manowar, will return to Hungary. Joey DeMaio and the band will perform at the Papp László Budapest Sportaréna as part of their tour built around their Kings Of Metal and Fighting The World albums.
Formed in 1980, Manowar’s songs have served as a point of connection for generations, while the band has consistently represented the power, stage monumentality and community spirit of classic heavy metal for more than four decades. Their career is marked by numerous gold and platinum records, as well as more than 40 world tours. Manowar’s dedicated global fanbase, the Army Of Immortals, continues to embody the loyalty, perseverance and passion that have defined the world of Manowar from the beginning.
The newly announced January concert will be a special occasion for Hungarian fans: firstly, because Manowar will be seen in Budapest again after more than two decades, and secondly, because the band will perform the Fighting The World album in its entirety, from the first song to the last. In addition, further Manowar classics will also be played, and the concert will be completed by a new, large-scale and spectacular stage production.
“This album belongs in Budapest! A thousand-year-old capital that has survived occupation, siege and turmoil, and has always risen again. A city and its people who refuse to fall, whatever the cost: that is the same spirit that Fighting The World is about,” said Joey DeMaio, who also addressed the fan community: “The loyalty of the Hungarian Army Of Immortals has never faded. Next year’s tour will focus on two landmark Manowar albums, Kings Of Metal and Fighting The World. At some stops, one album will be performed in full, while in other cities the other album will be played in its entirety, complemented by further metal anthems from the band. This continues the concept introduced on the previous concert series, which celebrated Hail To England and Sign Of The Hammer.
